Wedding weekend 22 to 24 August 2014
During a wedding the hours passes quickly, and we hope that the guests have time to spend a bit of time as well on Friday and Sunday. Below you find a short description of what happens during the weekend. We appreciate if you give us a hint if you're joining for Friday, Sunday or both :).
FRIDAY:
Several of the guests will arrive Friday. For those arriving by plane, please let us know when so we can try and arrange to pick you up at the airport. There is also a regular bus service "flybussen" from the airport to Stavanger center. You are welcome to join an informal gathering in the evening at Gunn's parents, for a light meal. The train take you easily to Gunn's parents if you've arrived to Stavanger and want to join us for the evening. The stop to jump off at is called "Øksnevadporten", and it's a 5 min walk. We will make sure the visitors are brought to the place they're going to sleep later on.
SATURDAY:
The boat leaves from Strandkaien precisely at 14:00. Therefore, be there in time! The boat is not back in Stavanger until around 18:00, so you'll miss a lot if you 're too late.

Approx. 17.00 Wedding Dinner - Dinner will be served while the boat takes us back to Stavanger. We continue the party onboard.
Approx. 02.00 The party is over....
NOTE: Since we have chosen to get married and have the wedding party on a boat, we hope for your understanding that, for safety reasons, we prefer that you do not bring your children to the ceremony and party. If you need help finding a babysitter, please let us know and we'll try to help you.
SUNDAY :
We're arranging as well a sightseeing and picnic by the water fall Månafossen on the Sunday for our visiting guests, and whoever else would like to join. We will fill up the bus, and in case it's full, we recon people living close by will join with their personal cars.
We'll leave Sunday morning after breakfast and checkout from the boat at approx. 12.00. We'll have a short busride to the parking lot at Månafossen. Those who would like to take the hike up to see the waterfall will have approx 1hrs hike return, (bring good shoes), and those who would like to stay below and enjoying the scenery from there will of course do so. After the picnic we will be returning back to Stavanger at 18.00 at the latests.
Please let us know if you're joining us for the trip on Sunday when confirming your attendance for the wedding.
GIFTS:
The fact that you are coming and joining the celebration is a gift in itself. We know that you will spend quite a lot to join us, and we do not expect anything more.
